Photo makeup question?

The foundation that I really like makes my face look pasty white in photos. What type of foundation should I look for so that this does not happen-what brands are good?Photo makeup question?
its not the foundations fault you need some primer under the foundation to absorb the light

smashbox primer is known and used in professional photosPhoto makeup question?
you need a foundation that doesnt contain sunscreen...i read in the girlfriend magazine that foundations that contain sunscreen are good for everyday use but not in photos because it atracts light...when ur buying a foundation make sure u look on the bottle and see if it contains sunscreen Report Abuse

Try mary-kay the consultant you pick will help you find just the right color for your face. so you dont look like a sheet of paper or like an mexican or african american.

good luck!
MAC
Your face looks pasty white in photos because your foundation has alluminum oxide in it (natural sunscreen) this is a reflective agent. Mary Kay's used to have it, but now have upgraded and have the most natural foundation. Check to see what your skin undertone is (pink or yellow.. most are yellow) Your foundation should match your NEAK not your wrist or face. (some faces have redness.. why match that?) I do reccomend using a bronzer or cheek color so you don't look like one big piece of color. Skin is 3d.
Stick to the brand of foundation you like...just choose a darker shade than what you are currently using.

See if there are samples of the foundation and get a couple that are a shade or two or maybe 3 darker than what you usually use.

If there aren't samples, ask the cosmetic consultant at the store to put three 'stripes' of foundation on your cheek (all different shades) get some snap shots and see if any of those colours are better.

Personally, I always chose a lighter foundation to even out my skin tone... one day I decided to use a darker one and it looks like I have a healthier complexion... I still dab lighter foundation on parts of my face I want to highlight or depending on the season I may mix the two to achieve the right colour.

With the darker tone just make sure you blend very well past your jaw line... otherwise it'll look like you are wearing a mask.

It's makeup for goodness sakes right?! Experiment and have fun!

Make use of the consultant at the store...that way you don't have to make your experiments so costly.

Good luck!
MAC is made for professional photo shoots, but only use it for that(MAC looks great anywhere, especially photo shoots) but don't wear it for everyday use, it clogs pores and its more for special occassions:) then when you stop putting it on, it'll be a huge difference, and then you'll need it!
dream matte mosee its awsome!!!!!!!!!
L'Oreal True Match is OK. Try Lancome also.
The best way to see if a foundation is good for u is to test the foundation on the inside of your wrist. Your wrist is the same colour as your face. Always make sure you know as well your skin. Example oily, dry, combination or sensitive because if you apply dry foundation to an dry face it will look chalky.
Take a day to go out and try numerous different ones. Yes MAC may work, but it depends mainly on you and your skin.
